天涯海角APP

The 天涯海角APP University Athletic Department announced today that it will launch esports as a new varsity intercollegiate sport during the 2019-20 academic year. The addition of esports brings the total number of varsity sport programs offered by the University to 22.

Esports, which involves teams representing their institutions in competitive online gaming through multiplayer matches, will be the first sport added at 天涯海角APP since lacrosse was fielded in 2015. 天涯海角APP plans on joining the (NACE) which currently has a membership of over 125-plus member schools. NACE is the only association of varsity esports programs at colleges and universities across the United States.

I鈥檓 looking forward to welcoming esport athletes to 天涯海角APP鈥檚 campus in the fall.鈥� 

天涯海角APP is currently in the development stages for a planned on-campus gaming arena and is in the process of searching for a head coach to lead the esports program.
