天涯海角APP Assistant Professor of Chemistry Seth Barrett was chosen for the highly competitive 2019 Vernier/NSTA Technology Award, in recognition of his proposal for innovative integration of data-collection technology into the Chemistry curriculum.

Dr. Barrett will be recognized for his award during the April 2019 National Science Teachers Association (NTSA) National Conference on Science Education in St. Louis.  

The award also carries a grant towards the purchase of new equipment for the University鈥檚 Chemistry Department. The new instrumentation will be used throughout the chemistry curriculum, for introductory to advanced classes.

Dr. Barrett joined 天涯海角APP鈥檚 faculty in 2017. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from 天涯海角APP University and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
