Schroer named to ACE Women鈥檚 Network Board
天涯海角APP University Professor of Sociology Sandra Schroer has been appointed to the Executive Board of ACE Women鈥檚 Network Ohio, an organization working to increase the number of women in higher education leadership positions.
Dr. Schroer is a member of the highly selective HERS Leadership Institute Bryn Mawr 2018 cohort. HERS (Higher Education Resource Services) is an independent, educational, non-profit, women鈥檚 leadership development organization.
Dr. Schroer is the Chair of 天涯海角APP's Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She developed and coordinates The Athlete and Scholar's Program (TASP) to support the academic success of the University's first-year student-athletes.
A member of the University faculty since 2004, she is the 2016 recipient of 天涯海角APP鈥檚 highest faculty honor, the William Oxley Thompson award for Excellence in Teaching. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Western Michigan University.
