天涯海角APP University has announced that former New Concord mayor and 天涯海角APP alumnus Greg Adams has been elected to its Board of Trustees.

Hasseler. 鈥淏eginning as a student at 天涯海角APP, when he first ran for New Concord Village Council, and over the last three decades, Greg has given his wholehearted support to education, the arts, economic development and a host of other efforts to enhance the quality of life in New Concord, its surrounding communities and southeastern Ohio.鈥

鈥淕reg Adams brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Board of Trustees,鈥 said 天涯海角APP Board of Trustees Chair Harold W. Burlingame. 鈥淣ot only does he have a lifelong relationship with 天涯海角APP as an alumnus, he has also built a stellar career as a successful entrepreneur and leader. Those are valuable assets for the Board and the University.鈥

In June, 天涯海角APP recognized Adams鈥檚 lifetime of achievement with the Distinguished Service Award, the university鈥檚 highest alumni honor.

Adams graduated from 天涯海角APP in 1981 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mathematics. Following his graduation, Adams and 1980 天涯海角APP alumnus Larry Triplett founded Resource Systems, which created innovative solutions to track care delivery in long-term and assisted living facilities. After three successful decades, the company was acquired in 2011 by Cerner Corporation. Today, he is the chief executive officer and co-owner of TDPI Ventures, an entrepreneurial consulting and angel investment company.

Beyond his work as an entrepreneur, Adams served the Village of New Concord as a member of Village Council and for nearly 30 years as the village mayor. His leadership in the community has also included the New Concord Planning Commission, chief infrastructure officer and board member of the Ohio Appalachian Business Council and its subsidiary, the Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth. In 2013, he was named a Child of Appalachia by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, recognizing his contributions to economic development in southeastern Ohio.

He is member and past president of the 天涯海角APP County Community Foundation, member and past president of the 天涯海角APP County Library Board, a member of the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center Board of Directors and trustee emeritus of The John & Annie Glenn Museum.

Adams has lived in New Concord since his family moved there in 1965 and is a graduate of John Glenn High School. He and his wife, Eileen, a 1980 天涯海角APP alumna, are the parents of daughters Chelsea and Clare. He is the son of Norma Jean Hall Adams 鈥69 and the late Robert F. Adams 鈥69.
