Bio

Dr. Dunak is the author of As Long As We Both Shall Love: The White Wedding in Postwar America (New York University Press, 2013) and Our Jackie: Public Claims on a Private Life (New York University Press, 2024). She is also a contributor to Of The People: A History of the United States (Oxford University Press, Sixth Edition, 2026) and contributes to Webinars for US History educators on the textbook鈥檚 central theme of 鈥淪truggle for Democracy.鈥 Her work has appeared in Gender & History, The Journal of Popular Culture, The OAH Magazine of History, The American Historian, The History Teacher, The Sixties: A Journal of History, Politics and Culture, Public Books, Salon, the Washington Post, and the Columbus Dispatch. She teaches both halves of the US History survey, US Women鈥檚 History, and various US History topics courses. She is co-advisor to the Gender Studies program.
